3 Insights from This Episode
1. Everybody has something. Every person has value that they’re called to bring to the table. Acting on that value is a form of stewardship. It doesn’t mean you have to start a business. It doesn’t even have to make you money. It could be mentoring someone from your church or finding your sweet spot as a volunteer. Whatever it is, God entrusted you with it, and it’s on you to start.
2. Starting is the hardest part. How many times have you had an idea for something you wanted to launch? How many times have you talked yourself out of it because the circumstances weren’t perfect? You’re not alone. Many people self-sabotage their ideas this way. The reality is: The circumstances will never be perfect. Choosing to start is an act of faith.
3. In today’s world, there truly are no excuses. Lots of people can justify why they never start.
The website was too expensive to build.
You don’t have a professional podcasting microphone.
You don’t have a connection to the publishing industry like other authors.
You want to wait for life to slow down.
If you have drive and can create good content, there truly are no excuses. You can build a website and start a blog for next to nothing. You can read thousands of reviews on Amazon for any product you need and find equipment within your price range. You can record podcasts on your phone. Rich Birch told us in Episode 113 how he self-published a book. Just start and stay faithful. God can do a lot with your little.
