Insights from This Episode
1. Create a momentum for new people to grow your church
Odds are if your church members haven’t been inviting guests over the years, it’s not high on their list of priorities to start. Put more effort towards creating ways to get new people to attend your services. New people are the ones that bring new people. Their excitement creates a momentum that brings even more new people to your doors.
2. Don’t copy the WHAT – Copy the WHY
It’s not WHAT you do, it’s WHY you do it. A growing church isn’t changing lives simply because of a cookie cutter system. It’s growing because it’s focused on meeting the needs of the community around it. Each context is different, so there’s not one specific formula that will bring cultural transformation to every city. Think through how to contextualize the gospel at your location. What do the people there need most to understand the message of Christ?
3. Don’t be discouraged by the fruit of others
It’s easy to get discouraged when it seems like others around you are succeeding while your church is standing still, but don’t allow yourself to go there. Instead, let the tangible fruits of others be a reminder that God can do that for you, too. Vision is driven by passion and passion is fueled by hope.
