Two Words

I have this overwhelming two word prayer on my heart all day today: Move, God.

I don’t even know whether that captures the cry that is arising in my heart.  I just so want God to move in our region, at Connexus, in my heart, in my family, globally.  Move God.  Move.

Change me.  Transform us.  Move.

Just had to share that.  Sometimes it’s short, radical, dangerous prayers like that that can turn everything inside out.

Move, God.  Please.

Move God…it never occurred to me to pray like that. Yet that is what we often mean isn't it?

In my case, I had been trying very hard to work out some things. And now it things seem to be falling into place…just when I had resigned myself to not being able to work things out … God moved. I wonder if it was that I finally got out of the way and let God do His thing?

Yesterday's lesson confirmed that for me; only when I let go, can I become immersed in Christ. I like the way the Message version of the bible puts it in the Beatitudes: "You are blessed when you're at the end of your rope. With less of you there is more of God and His rule."

So as I join you in the "move God" prayer, I will also be praying; "Please God help me be still and let You move."

Thank you Carey for your prayer…it has helped me to focus.

My prayers, and the prayers of my ministry team, include that phrase "Move, God" all the time. And God really has started moving in many areas of my life and in the lives of relatives and friends. Therefore, I must also say "Thank you, God and please keep moving!"

Along a similar line, I have been praying lately for a renewed Passion. I'm a pretty passionate person, yet have felt this sense that I need more of it for the unseen turns and venture ahead. I'm with you. Carey.

Maybe it shouldn't be a surprise at all, but after praying that prayer throughout the day yesterday, God moved pretty powerfully in an area of my life yesterday.

so praying again today… move, God. hope you'll join in.
