At first I thought you wrote without margarine there is no mission. Thankfully I was wrong. Thanks for the wise words.

Thanks Carey...been there, done that, totally relate. Something I'm trying that is totally new in my life is the method of Sabbath in all time frames of life. It works out like this:

Work hard for 6 days, have a day off (pretty basic but here is where it gets fun).
Word hard for every 6 weeks, have 1 week less intense.
Work hard for every 6 months, have 1 month less intense.
Work hard every 6 years, have a sabbatical.

I'm trying a couple new time management philosophies, and this one is one that I'm excited to see how it turns out.

I am learning that I have a more productive week and I am far more effective as a leader when I set aside margin time. This is something burning on my heart since I read Doug Fields' book, "ReFuel" recently. I also read the Jutilas' book, "Hectic to Healthy." Both good books for this topic. I am learning techniques to ensure I DO take margin time. It does not come naturally and is difficult to do NOTHING....at first. After a couple of weeks of this, I am beginning to witness fruits of margin time. Every leader needs to have accountability partner to ensure they are receiving margin time or you will hit a wall...and experience burnout. Thank you for this gentle reminder. I need to be reminded of this often.
